Özet

A channel or canal surface is a surface produced by the envelope of a family of spheres whose centers are located on the directrix of a space curve. The canal surface is known as a pipe surface when the radius of the producing spheres are constant. The canal surface is called a tube or tubular surface when the radius function r(t) = r is a constant. Tube surfaces are used to show 3-dimensional shapes such as pipes, ropes, poles. In addition, tube surfaces are used for modeling solids and surfaces for computer aided geometric design and fabrication. On the other hand, Galilean geometry is one of the geometries whose motions are the Galilean transformations of classical kinematics. In this paper, first of all, we define a new orthogonal frame in G3. Then, we get condition of general helix in regard to new orthogonal frame in the Galilean 3-space and we obtain characterizations of tubular surfaces with the new orthogonal frame in G3.
