Özet

This studywas designedto screenthe phytochemicalcompositionand investigatethe biologicalactivitiesofHedysarumcandidissimumextractsand also supportthe resultswithmoleculardockingstudies.LC/MS/MSanalysisrevealedthe presenceof 22 phytochemicalconstituents(mainlyphenolicacids, flavonoids, andflavonoidglycosides)in the plantstructure. The methanolextractexhibitedthe strongestantioxidantactivityamongall the extractswithits strongDPPHradicalscavengingand iron reducingcapacity,as well as highphenolicand flavonoidcontents.Additionally,it was foundto be the mostpromisingacetylcholinesterase(AChE:IC50: 93.26μg/mL)andα-glycosidase(AG:IC50: 28.57μg/mL)inhibitoryactivities,supportedby the majorphenolicsof the speciesthroughin silicostudies.Ethylacetateextracthad the strongestcytotoxiceffecton HT-29 (IC50: 63.03μg/mL)and MDA-MB-453(IC50: 95.36μg/mL)cancercell lines. Both extractsexhibitedconsiderableapoptoticand anti-migrativeeffectson HT-29cells.The investigationsprovidephyto-analyticaland bio-pharmacologicalresultswhichcan be extendedbyin vivostudiesin the future.
